AUTUMN BEES AT CLIVEDEN

AUTUMN  BEES AT CLIVEDEN

[I seem to have loaded pics at too high a resolution, so these seem weirdly squished and distorted. They looked fine on the plant, and they look fine if you click on the image…]

  1. Beautiful macros but then I am rather partial to the subject. I never got such an interest in the Sedum in my garden. The Sedum in your photos is a very attractive pink colour. I think the bumble bee might be a buff-tailed as I can see a little buff coloured line before the white but I am no expert and seeming they are very difficult to tell apart from the white-tailed. Both equally gorgeous.

    • Thanks, AFG! It was a late autumn bee flurry, making up for a lost summer. Unfortunately I’ve just switched to a new theme – clearer! simpler! – only to find that uploading full size macros = squished pictures. Still, fine once they are clicked on… I’d decided white-tailed, but I agree, it’s hard to tell sometimes.
